2013 gave us a wonderful shake-up of psychedelia and punk, and produced a successive revival in guitar music, which in a community vastly embracing electronica and house gave us a warming relief. There were many more worthy candidates for great albums this year, notably the rise of Joanna Gruesome, Swearin', and Speedy Ortiz to name but a few, and lets hope for more of the same, come 2014.

Another lovely release from Art Is Hard, this time it's Fake Laugh.

Reeks of Effort have done it again this time with the release of Sick of Hits, featuring YRRS, playlounge and Birdskulls, £4 cassette price, and a measly £1 download price, so whatcha do-en? go buy it.
